Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Engages with Youth in Bhavnagar, Calls for a Drug-Free India

Bhavnagar, Gujarat: Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya interacted with young people at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, as part of the #MyBharatYuvaSamvad programme.

The programme was organised around the theme “Drug-Free Youth, Drug-Free India”, focusing on creating awareness among young people about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to adopt healthy and responsible lifestyles.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya called upon the youth to actively contribute to the vision of building a developed India. He highlighted the important role of young people in nation-building and encouraged them to channel their energy, talent and ideas towards the country’s progress.

Youth Power Key to a Developed India

Dr. Mandaviya emphasised that India’s youth are not only the future of the country but also an important force driving change in the present. He encouraged young people to participate actively in areas such as education, sports, innovation, entrepreneurship and social service.

He also stressed the importance of staying away from substance abuse and promoting awareness about its negative impact on individuals, families and society.

Focus on a Drug-Free Generation

The “Drug-Free Youth, Drug-Free India” theme placed special emphasis on empowering young people to make healthy choices and become ambassadors of a drug-free society.

Dr. Mandaviya encouraged the youth to embrace sports and healthy activities, highlighting their role in building discipline, confidence, teamwork and physical and mental well-being.

Direct Interaction with Young People

During the MyBharat Yuva Samvad programme, the Union Minister interacted directly with students and young participants, listening to their views and engaging with them on issues concerning youth and the nation’s future.

The interaction aimed to inspire young people to take greater responsibility for society and play an active role in India’s development journey.

The programme reinforced the message that a healthy, aware and empowered youth population can become a strong foundation for a developed India.
